    WARRANTY POLICY

    OUR WARRANTY POLICY 
    The specific warranty covering your Aventon bicycle is governed by the law of the state or country in which it was purchased, and applies only to bicycles purchased from Authorized Aventon Retailers or directly from Aventon.
     

    FRAMES AND FORKS: 
    Aventon frames are warranted by Aventon Bikes, 18457 Railroad St, Industry, CA 91748 against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner.
     

    COMPONENTS: 
    All other components, frame fixtures and finishes (paint and decals) are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase. Forks (other than those made by Aventon -for example, a Rockshox suspension fork) are not covered by this limited warranty, but are separately covered by the stated warranty of their manufacturer. Stripped threads due to operator error during assembly are not covered by this warranty.
     

    TERMS OF LIMITED WARRANTY: 
    This limited warranty is not meant to suggest or imply that the bicycle cannot be broken or will last forever. It does mean that the bicycle is covered subject to the terms of the limited warranty. This limited warranty applies only to the original owner of an Aventon bicycle and is not transferable to subsequent owners. This limited warranty is void if the bicycle is subjected to abuse, neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, an accident or other abnormal, excessive, or improper use. This limited warranty applies only to bicycles purchased in fully assembled and adjusted condition from Authorized Aventon Retailers or other outlets specifically authorized by Aventon to distribute Aventon bicycles. Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including the results of fatigue, is not covered. Fatigue damage is a symptom of the frame being worn out through normal use. It is one kind of normal wear and tear, and it is the owner’s responsibility to inspect his/her bicycle. Damage resulting from improper assembly or maintenance, or from installation of parts and accessories not compatible with the Aventon bicycle, is not covered. All labor charges for warranty service are the responsibility of the bicycle’s owner. In the event that the processing of a warranty claim requires shipping, any such shipping charges are the responsibility of the bicycle's owner. During the duration of this limited warranty, Aventon will either repair any defective frame or component, or, at our option, replace any defective frame or component with the same or most nearly comparable model or component then available. THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ANY AND ALL OTHER REMEDIES AND DAMAGES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE APPLICABLE ARE EXCLUDED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY MADE BY AVENTON ON ITS FRAMES AND COMPONENTS, AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION HEREIN. ANY WARRANTIES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE IMPLIED BY LAW INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXCLUDED. This Limited Warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. The consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If it is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction that a certain provision of this limited warranty does not apply, such determination shall not affect any other provision of this limited warranty and all other provisions shall remain in effect.
     

    WARRANTY TERMS SPECIFIC TO E-BIKES
    Aventon warrants that all new electric bicycles (“e-bikes”) and main components therein sold by an authorized Aventon Bikes retailer are warranted to the original retail purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for all electrical components for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase. 

    This warranty pertains to any of the essential electric bicycle components that are found defective provided that the product was used in a standard and controlled manner, and that it was maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions manual. Essential components include the bicycle frame, electric motor, battery, display, and controller.

    Corrosion on electrical components is not covered by the warranty. You should dry the contacts on the battery and other electrical parts to prevent corrosion and oxidizing. Electrical contact cleaner can be used to keep connections clean if needed. In extreme weather (for example, in a community where roads are salted in winter) you can apply battery terminal grease as a preventative.

    HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM
    If you believe your Aventon has a warranty issue, your first point of contact should be your Aventon retailer where you purchased your frame or bike. The place of purchase will facilitate the claim with Aventon on your behalf.     FAQ ABOUT OUR WARRANTY
     

    Q. I am not the original owner as I purchased my Aventon secondhand. Is my frame covered by warranty? 
    A. Sorry, no, the warranty coverage only extends to the original buyer.


    Q. I crashed and damaged my bike/frame. Is warranty coverage available to me 
    A. Crashes or accidents are not covered by the warranty policy. However, Aventon offers a crash replacement program to get you back riding as quickly as possible following an accident.     Aventon believes in the quality of our products and wants you to shop with confidence. You may return any item in new and unused condition within 30 days for a full refund, less shipping charges. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the recipient, unless Aventon made a shipping error.We will issue a refund using the same payment method you used originally.

    Aventon is pleased to offer completely free shipping on $50 purchases to addresses in the 48 continental United States, including complete bicycles. Shipping to destinations outside the 48 continental United States is based on package weight and size. 

    CUT-OFF TIMES

    We strive to ship all orders placed before 2pm PST on the same business day. If you order after hours, or on a weekend/holiday, we’ll ship your order promptly on the next business day.

    DESTINATIONS

    Aventon.com ships to addresses in the United States of America and its territories (including Guam, Puerto Rico, and armed forces APO/FPO/DPO addresses), plus all provinces in Canada. For delivery outside these areas, please visit one of our partner retailers or distributors in your country. If you need help locating an Aventon dealer in your country, please contact Aventon’s customer support team and we’ll be happy to help.

    INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

    Aventon offers shipping to some countries outside the United States. The amount shown at checkout is for shipping charges only and does not include any import duty or taxes charged by your country, brokerage charges applied by the shipping carrier, or currency conversion fees. Any additional charges are due at delivery and are the responsibility of the recipient. Consult your local customs office to determine what fees, if any, your country may charge. 

    Do not order if you are unwilling or unable to pay the import duty, tax, and customs charges at delivery. If you refuse delivery because of non-payment of these fees, your items will be abandoned by the shipping carrier and you will not receive a refund. 

    We process all transactions in USA dollars (USD). Your card issuer will convert currency at the prevailing exchange rate. Many credit/debit card issuers charge a fee or percentage for transactions not in your native currency. Any such fees are the customer's responsibility. 

    SHIPPING TO THE EUROPEAN UNION

    Our partner BrickLaneBikes is the exclusive distributor and importer of our bikes in the European Union. BrickLaneBikes can ship directly to your home, and they also sell to bike shops if you prefer to shop in a store - just ask your bike shop to get in touch with BrickLane. BrickLaneBikes can supply any model/size/color we offer anywhere in the EU.

    SHIPPING CARRIERS

    Aventon Bikes ships using FedEx and USPS, based on the size/weight of your order and your delivery address. We’ll ship your order in a single box whenever possible, but occasionally we’ll need to send multiple shipments: for example, if you’ve ordered several large/bulky items.

    HOW WE BUILD & SHIP OUR COMPLETE BIKES

    If you’ve ordered a complete bike, it will be built by Aventon, then partially disassembled so that it fits into the shipping container for delivery to you. Upon receipt, you’ll need to unpack your new bike and perform final assembly using common hand tools. Our customer support team is standing by to help you with assembly or adjustment questions – please write or call anytime.

    LOST PACKAGES

    Orders are generally shipped without requiring a signature at delivery. In some high-risk areas, we may elect to have the shipping carrier obtain a signature before making delivery.

    Our responsibilities: - instruct the shipping carrier to deliver to the address you supplied at checkout - to ship in a timely fashion - pack shipments in such a way so they arrive undamaged

    Your responsibilities: - supply us with a safe and secure address for delivery - monitor the tracking information that we deliver to you via email and/or SMS text message so you'll know when your parcel is out for delivery, and can retrieve it promptly. Do not leave parcels sitting unclaimed.

    Notably, we are not responsible for parcels stolen from your doorstep after delivery is made to the address you provided. Shipping carriers will not pay claims on parcels where the tracking shows "delivered". Please enter a safe and secure address for delivery purposes.
